What is the counterargument to Sunni claims that Imam Hassan's son, Abdullah, had the Kunya Abubakr and so shares a name with their caliph Abu Bakr, implying a significant connection rather than mere coincidence?

First of all, we should understand that names like Abu Bakr , Omar, Othman etc wee never confined to the three rulers who ruled over the Muslims as a result to Saqeefa conspiracy which was totally rejected by Ahlul Bayt (AS). Such names were used by hundreds of other Muslims who had nothing to do with Saqeefa group. Using a common name can never a connection  with one or more persons who shared the same name or Kenya. Ahlul Bayt (AS) have clearly explained the wrong actions of Saqeefa group in many authentic statements like Shaqshaqiyyah sermon by Ameerul Mo'mineen (AS) and many other authentic narrations from the Twelve Imams. There is no doubt that pious divine leadership of Ahlul Bayt can never compromise with wrong doers under any circumstance. The treaty between Imam Hasan (AS) and Mo'awiyah was the only way to save Islam from the evil of Mo'awiyah but was never justifying the wrong.

Why did Imam Hassan drink poison knowing that the Imam had knowledge of the unseen and knew he was being given poison? Is this not suicide?

All the knowledge of the  unseen is with Allah (SWT) only as we read in Quran : Say: None in the skies and earth knows all the unseen but Allah) Sura An-Naml, verse 65. Allah (SWT) Grants some of the knowledge of the Unseen to whom He Wants from His most humble servants like the prophets and infallible Imams. That gift of knowing the unseen is according to The Wisdom of Allah and it is never like the Knowledge of Allah which covers everything.  Imam Hasan (AS) never committed suicide when he was given the poison. Obviously, he was not aware the it contains a poison.

What were the conditions and reasons for Imam Hassan (as) to make a compromise and agreement with Muawiya?

Imam Hasan (AS) faced an enemy ( Mo'awiyah) who had control over the richest country at that time ( Shaam) , who was ready to do everything with no limits  to get the chair. Mo'awiyah was ready to kill all the believers and deny religious facts just to reach to his political goal. Imam Hasan found no way to save Islam and the sincere Muslims but to enter in a treaty with Mu'awiyah under clear conditions to give him the chair and bind him to respect Quran and Sunnah and refrain from killing sincere Muslims. Islam was saved because of that treaty of Imam Hasan (AS).

Why did Imam Hassan made Ubaidullah b. Abbas commander of the troops he sent to fight with Muawia, when he had shown his lack of support during the caliphate of Imam Ali and was condemned by the Imam for it?

Imam Hasan (AS) knew things which we do not know as his knowledge is from the Allah (SWT) and the Prophet (SAWA) and Ameerul Mo'mineen (AS). We, with our limited knowledge are not entitled to argue on any decision of any Infallible as he does not do but what Allah (SWT) wants.

We believe that every act done by the Prophet (SAWA) and Ahlul Bayt (AS) is in favour of Islam, whether we know the details or not.
