وقال في (تاريخ الخلفا): وأخرج الترمذي عن سريحة أو زيد بن أرقم عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم، قال: من كنت مولاه فعلي مولاه، ‏وأخرجه أحمد عن علي وأبي أيوب الانصاري وزيد بن أرقم وعمرو ذي مر، وأبويعلى عن أبي هريرة. والطبراني عن ابن عمر ومالك ‏بن الحويرث وحبشي بن جنادة وجرير وسعد بن أبي وقاص وأبي سعيد الخدري وأنس. والبزار عن ابن عباس وعمارة وبريدة. وفي ‏أكثرها زيادة: اللهم وال من والاه وعاد من عاداه.‏
