روى في تفسيره "الكشف والبيان" عن أبي جعفر محمد بن علي [الامام الباقر] إن معناها: بلغ ما انزل إليك من ربك في فضل علي. ‏فلما نزلت أخذ رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله بيد علي فقال: من كنت مولاه فعلي مولاه.‏
