وقال إبراهيم بن الحسين بن علي الكسائي المعروف بابن ديزيل في كتاب صفين حدثنا يحيى بن سليمان ( الجعفي ) قال: حدثنا إبن ‏فضيل قال: حدثنا الحسن بن الحكم النخعي عن رياح بن الحارث النخعي‎ ‎قال: كنت جالسا عند علي عليه السلام إذ قدم عليه قوم ‏متلثمون فقالوا: ألسلام عليك‎ ‎يا مولانا؟ فقال لهم: أو لستم قوما عربا؟ قالوا: بلى. ولكنا: سمعنا رسول الله صلى‎ ‎الله عليه وآله يقوم ‏يوم غدير خم: من كنت مولاه فعلي مولاه، اللهم وال من والاه،‎ ‎وعاد من عاداه، وانصر من نصره، واخذل من خذله. فقال: لقد ‏رأيت عليا عليه‎ ‎السلام ضحك حتى بدت نواجده ثم قال: اشهدوا. ثم إن القوم مضوا إلى رحالهم‎ ‎فتبعتهم فقلت لرجل منهم: من القوم؟ ‏قالوا: نحن رهط من الانصار، وذلك يعنون‎ ‎رجلا منهم : أبوأيوب صاحب منزل رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله. قال: فأتيته وصافحته.‏
