(5647) ـــ أخبرني الوليد وأبو بكر بن قريش، ثنا الحسن بن سفيان، ثنا محمد بن عبدة، ثنا الحسن بن الحسين[1]، ثنا رفاعة بن إياس الضبي، عن أبيه، عن جدّه قال: كنا مع علي يوم الجمل، فبعث إلى طلحة بن عبيد الله أن القني فأتاه طلحة، فقال: نشدتك الله هل سمعت رسول الله يقول: مَنْ كُنْتُ مَوْلاهُ فَعَلِيٌّ مَوْلاهُ، اللَّهُمَّ وَالِ مَنْ وَالاهُ وَعادِ مَنْ عاداهُ، قال: نعم، قال: فلم تقاتلني؟ قال:لم أذكر، قال: فانصرف طلحة.---[1] - حسين بن حسن الاشقر.

(5647) Al-Walيd and Abْ Bakr b. Quraysh informed me that Al-\asan b. Sufyلn narrated to us that Mu<ammad b. `Abdah narrated to us that al-\asan b. al-\usayn[1] narrated to us that Rifل`ah b. Iyلs al-¬abbي narrated to us from his father, from his grandfather who said:
We were with `Alي on the day of al-Jamal when he sent word to ^al<a b. `Ubaydallلh: Come and meet me!
^al<a came to him and he said: "I adjure you by Allلh, did you hear the Messenger of Allلh say: "Of whomsoever I am master, `Alي is his master. O Allلh, befriend the one who befriends him and be at enmity with one who is at enmity with him?"
He said: "Yes." He said: "Then why do you fight against me?"
He said: "I do not remember." He (the narrator) said: Then ^al<a departed.
