ألحافظ عبدالملك بن محمد أبوقلابة الرقاشي الزاهد محدث البصرة المتوفى 276 والمولود 190 ، قال أبوداود : أمين مأمون كتبت عنه ، ‏ترجمه الذهبي في تذكرته ج 2 ص 197 ،‎ ‎وحكى إبن حجر في تهذيبه ج 6 ص 420 ثقته عن إبن الاعرابي ومسلمة بن قاسم ، وذكره إبن ‏حبان في الثقات.‏
