أبوزكريا يحيى بن محمد . . الغبري البغياني، مولى أبي خرقاء السلمي، من أهل نيسابور، كان أديبا فاضلا، عارفا بالتفسير واللغة، وكان ‏أبوعلي الحافظ يقول: الناس يتعجبون من حفظنا لهذه الاسانيد، وأبوزكريا الغبري حفظ من العلوم ما لو كلفنا حفظ شئ منها لعجزنا ‏عنه، وما أعلم أني رأيت مثله . . توفي أبوزكريا في شوال سنة 344، وهو ابن ست وسبعين سنة.‏
