ألحافظ يحيى بن عبدالوهاب أبوزكريا الاصبهاني الشهير بابن مندة المتوفى 512 قال إبن خلكان في تاريخه ج 2 ص 366: كان من الحفاظ ‏المشهورين وأحد أصحاب الحديث المبرزين وكان جليل القدر وافر الفضل واسع الرواية ثقة حافظا مكثرا صدوقا كثير التصانيف.‏
