ألحافظ قاسم بن سلام أبوعبيد الهروي المتوفى بمكة 223 / 4 كان ربانيا متقنا في أصناف علوم الاسلام حسن الرواية صحيح النقل لا ‏أعلم أحدا من الناس طعن عليه في شئ من أمر دينه ، كذا ترجمه إبن خلكان في تاريخه ج 1 ص 457.‏
