[28] جعفر بن محمد بن علي بن حسين بن علي بن أبي طالب أبو عبد الله الهاشمي المدني الملقب بالصادق أحد الأعلام روى عن أبيه وعطاء وعروة وابن المنكدر وعنه أبو حنيفة ومالك ويحيى الأنصاري وهو أكبر منه وشعبة والسفيانان وخلق قال بن معين ثقة مأمون وقال أبو حاتم ثقة لا يسأل عن مثله وقال بن حبان من سادات أهل البيت وعباد أتباع التابعين وعلماء أهل المدينة ولد سنة ثمانين مات سنة ثمان وأربعين ومائة.
