ألحافظ مسعود بن ناصر بن عبدالله بن أحمد أبوسعيد السجزي ( السجستاني )لمتوفى 477 ، ترجمه الذهبي في تذكرته ج 4 ص 16 وقال : ‏ألحافظ الفقيه الرحال صاحب المصنفات ، قال محمد بن عبدالوحد الدقاق : لم أر في المحدثين أجود إتقانا ولا أحسن ضبطا منه ، وقال إبن ‏كثير في تاريخه ج 12 ص 127 : رجل في الحديث وسمع الكثير وجمع الكتب النفيسة وكان صحيح الخط صحيح النقل حافظا ضابطا ‏
