[al-Ghadír fí al-kitáb wa'l-sunnah wa'l-adab, al-Amíní, `Abd al-\usayn A<mad al-Tabrízí al-Najafí, Beirut: Dár al-kitáb al-`arabí (11 vols), 1397, p. 71 ] Ibn \ibbán has accepted Maymún al-Ba#rí as reliable [Majma` al-Zawá'id, v 5 p 111]. Ibn \ajar has written in [al-Qawl al-Musaddad p 17]:
"Maymún has been considered reliable by many scholars, some have talked about the strength of his memory, al-Tirmidhí has considered one of his traditions as #a<í<"…. [Al-Qawl al-musaddad fíl-dhabb `an al-Musnad, Ibn \ajar al-`Asqalání, Shiháb al-Dín A<mad b. Núr al-Dín `Alí, Abú al-Fa_l al-Sháfi`í, Haydarabad, 1319 AH, p. 17 ] Maymún has been considered reliable by several scholars, some have talked about the strength of his memory, al-Tirmidhí has considered one of his traditions as #a<í<.
