سالم بن عبدالله بن عمر بن الخطاب القرشي العدوي المدني ترجمه الذهبي في تذكرته ج 1 ص 77 وقال : إنه الفقيه الحجة أحد من ‏جمع بين العلم والعمل والزهد‎ ‎والشرف ، وفي التقريب أحد الفقهاء السبعة كان ثبتا عابدا يشبه بأبيه في الهدي والسمت من كبار ‏الثالثة مات في آخر سنة 106 على الصحيح
