ألحافظ إبن الحافظ عبدالرحمن بن أبي حاتم محمد بن إدريس التميمي الحنظلي‎ ‎الرازي المتوفى 327 ، ترجمه الذهبي في تذكرته ج 3 ص ‏‏48 وأثنى عليه بالامامة والحفظ والنقد ، وحكى عن أبي الوليد الباجي ثقته ، ترجمه السبكي في طبقاته ج 2 ص 327 ، و حكى عن ‏أبي يعلى الخليلي إنه قال : كان زاهدا يعد من الابدال.‏
