ألحافظ محمد بن جمعة بن خلف القهستاني أبوقريش صاحب المسند الكبير المتوفى 313 ، قال الخطيب في تاريخه ج 12 ص 169 : كان ‏ضابطا حافظا متقنا كثير السماع والرحلة ، وحكى الذهبي في تذكرته ج 2 ص 328 عن أبي علي الحافظ إنه قال : خيرنا أبوقريش الحافظ ‏الثقة الأمين.‏
