أبوالفتح محمد بن أبي القاسم عبدالكريم الشهرستاني الشافعي المتكلم على مذهب الاشعري المتوفى 548 ، قال إبن خلكان: كان إماما ‏مبرزا فقيها متكلما، وترجمه السبكي في طبقاته ج 4 ص 78 وأثنى عليه وعلى كتابه " الملل والنحل ".‏
