[Al-`Ibلr fي khabar man ghabar, al-Dhahabي, Shams al-Dيn Mu<ammad b. A<mad b. `Uthmلn, Abْ `Abd Allلh, Kuwait: Ma>ba`at \ukْmat al-Kuwayt, 1960-61, events of year 303 ] الذهبي :وفيها الحافظ الكبير أبوالعباس الحسن بن سفيان . . وكان ثقة حجة، واسع الرحلة قال الحاكم: كان محدث خراسان في عصره مقدما في التثبت والكثرة والفهم والادب والفقه، توفي في رمضان. [al-Ghadيr fي al-kitلb wa'l-sunnah wa'l-adab, al-Amيnي, `Abd al-\usayn A<mad al-Tabrيzي al-Najafي, Beirut: Mu'assasat al-A`lamي (11 vols), 1414 AH/1994 CE, vol. 1, pp. 132-3 ] ألحافظ الحسن بن سفيان بن عامر أبوالعباس الشيباني النسوي البالوزي صاحب المسند الكبير المتوفى 303 ، قال السمعاني في أنسابه : كان مقدما في الفقه والعلم والادب . وقال في موضع آخر : إمام متقن ورع حافظ ، وقال السبكي في طبقاته ج 2 ص 210 : قال الحاكم : كان محدث خراسان في عصره مقدما في الثبت والكثرة والفهم والفقه والادب.
