Ibrahim (Abraham) Verses 13 – 21

And said those who disbelieved unto their apostles: “Certainly will we drive you out of our land or else ye return to our religion.” So revealed unto them their Lord; “Certainly will We destroy the unjust ones.” (14:13)

“And certainly We will settle you in the land after them; This is for he who presence1and who feareth My wrath.” (14:14)2

And sought3they (the apostle’s) help (from God against their enemies), and every insolent rebellious one was 4disappointed, (14:15)

Behind5him is Hell and he shall be given to drink a festering6water, (14:16)

He shall drink it little by little and shall not be able to swallow7it, and will come unto him death from all sides but he shall die8not; and shall be behind him a vehement torment. (14:17)

The likeness of those who disbelieve in their Lord; their deeds are like ashes on which bloweth hard the wind on a stormy day; they shall not have any hold9on anything of what they have earned; this is a far-gone wandering. (14:18)

Seest thou10not that God created the heavens and the earth with truth? If He willeth He will take you away and bring (in your place) a creation anew, (14:19)

And this for God is not difficult. (14:20)

And they 11shall come forth before God all together, then shall12say the weak unto those who were arrogant: “Verily we had been your followers, can ye therefore avert from us any part of the chastisement of God?” They would say: “If God hath guided us, we too would have surely guided you; it is the same to us (now) whether we implore (impatiently) or we are 13patient, (now) there is not for us (any) way of escape.” (14:21)14
