QUESTION:

My respected brother my question is , is it permissible to pray behind a
muslim who commits shirk ( says 'Ali AS is god)?


ANSWER:

It is haram to pray behind a mushrik. Those who say that Imam Ali (A.S.)
is God, or has traits of God are not muslims and should not be treated as
such. 

This is a clear fatwa by all shia ulama including all the great Maraji'.
