QUESTION:
Do I have to be in wudhu, fully covered, and facing east when I pray a dua
such as Dua-e-Kumail?
ANSWER:
You do not have to be in a state of taharat (ritual purity) or facing
qibla when reciting a dua. However, you do need to be in a state of
taharat if you physically touch the name of Allah or the ma'sumin.
