QUESTION:

Someone recently asked me this question which I could not answer.
He asked me if we were allowed to eat the meat of Sharks.  I would really
appreciate if I can get an answer for him as soon as possible.

ANSWER

The principal is that if the fish has scales on it's body it is allowed and
halal. Sharks are known to have no scales on the body.
