QUESTION:
 
Saalam alaikum,
 
If a person owns a hotel/motel or property that has a restauraunt that
requires alcoholic beverages and swine products to be served what should
they do?  Also, if they can sublet the resturaunt out to a non-muslim and
just run the hotel portion, what would the ruling be?  (In the second case
the owner would collect a payment from the leasie). 
 
Can you respond based on the rulings of both Ayat. Seestani and Khamenei. 


ANSWER:

Selling alcoholic beverages and swine products is Haram.  The same applies
to subletting the place to anyone for the purpose.  This is a ruling on
which all the Mujtahedeen are unanimous.
