QUESTION:

My question is about jewelry.
I know that men are not allowed to wear any gold jewelry.
How about 'white gold' - it is not pure gold,  It is a mixture of materials.
Is it allowed to where such jewelry?


ANSWER:

salaamun 'alaykum,
If the gold is plated, i.e. not seen as pure gold by local custom (urf) ,
then one is allowed to wear it even in prayer.
