I understand that the type of alcohol used in hand gel and wipes is different from the alcohol that intoxicates, but are we allowed to use such alcohol gel and wipes and does that cause the hands to become Najis?

I have heard that the regular prayers are not accepted for forty days from one who has consumed intoxicants. Would their Du'a and Dhikr still be heard and rewarded?
