If someone masturbated during the time of fast in the month of Ramadan, but was not aware that it invalidates the fast, what is he required to do?

If he was not aware that masturbation invalidates the fast, he must keep Qadha of the fast of that day.

This is a nice idea. :)

I went on Amazon and searched "Ramadan decorations" and all the things that came up seemed appropriate to me. (Except for the ones for Eid, which should be specifically on/around Eid at the end of the month, but those are nice too.)

Of course I am not advocating Amazon specifically, just saying that it has some ideas. So maybe you could look at it and get ideas.

Also if you search "do it yourself Ramadan decorations" on Google, you will also see some ideas.

I am sure some people have more of an artistic sense than me and will have better ideas, this is just a preliminary suggestion!

Our great scholars in Fiqh (Jurisprudence) have studied and discussed this matter like any other new matter and gave the rules related to it derived from our main Evidence (Quran, Hadeeth, intellect and Ijmaa'). 
This is the practice of our great scholars in every matter which concerns the life of people.

If my 9 year old daughter is unable to wake up during the month of Ramadan to my frequent calls at Sehri, is it acceptable if I give Kaffara for her fasts instead?

Waking up for eating or drinking in Sehri (Sohoor) is not a condition in fasting. Fasting is must on Baaligh Muslim whether they wake up or don't wake up for Sehri.

Baaligh girl ( who completed full nine lunar years) must fast the month of Ramadan. Not fasting is a major sin which requires then Qadha of that day, and Kaffara of fasting two months or feeding of sixty poor believers, for every day of not fasting.

Giving Kaffara does not make it permissible.
