If the money was earned by your husband during the same year of Khums, then no Khums on that earning, but if it was earned before one year or more, then Khums is applicable on it.

The claim of Buraida against Ameerul Mo’mineen (AS) was instigated by Khalid ibn Al-Waleed. Such claim can not be trusted because it came from Munafiqs.

‘Imam Ali (AS) did not have any relationship with any woman during the life of Lady Fatima (AS). Even if the narration is authentic and the share of Imam Ali (AS) was a female slave, it does not mean that he had slept with her but he can sell her or keep her for serving his wife or children.

Khums is a wajib duty applied to every mukallaf. Once you reach the age of taklif, you are independently responsible for your wajibaat. If you  meet the requirements of khums, then you must pay it, regardless of whether you are financially dependent on someone else or not. 

As for gifts, you will need to refer to your Marja' taqleed, to see if according to him, khums is applicable on gifts. According to A.U. Sistani, it is. 

So, if your khums day comes, and you have yet to use that gift, or you have savings, then you need to pay its khums.

If the jewellery has been used, there is no khums on it, but for the coins, if they are of common use, that would be a part of savings, if not used, and you must refer to the detailed laws of that.
