Imam Jafar Al-Sadiq (AS) was asked a similar question by a person called Maisarah. Imam replied him: O Maisarah, keep on praying and nether think that the matter has been ruled out.
you should keep praying and seeking from Allah to grant you what He knows that it is good for you.
1. Will power is the key for patience. More we strengthen our will power, more we are able to control ourselves and be patient.
2. Right timing comes from proper thinking after consultation with sincere experienced persons. When we want start something, we need to think about:
A) What are the requirements for achieving it?
B) Can we arrange for the requirements?
C) What do we expect from it if we get it?
D) What do we expect if we fail to get it?
E) What are the expected negative points if we get it ?
F) What are the expected negative points if we fail to get it?
Weighing and assessing the possibilities can help us make proper decision as much as we can.
Sometimes Estikhara can help us if we are not able to decide despite consultations.
Seeking help from Allah (SWT) is always required. He helps every servant who sincerely seeks His guidance and help with the Blessings of His most humble servants, Muhammad and his Holy Progeny (SAWA).
Thank you for your question. As a general rule of thumb, patience is an attitude that can be adopted after wise action. When you have acted wisely you need to have patience in order to see that action through. If you are still ironing out flaws and mistakes in your approach or strategy that has to be taken into account before switching to something else. But if you have tried and found that either you can't get the hang of that thing, or that you were mistaken in your approach or strategy, then it makes sense to explore your options. The believer relies on God for a good outcome after they have acted as wisely as they can and maintain patience for that outcome until it seems like something needs to be done differently.
Patience in front of injustice is always very good. Every patient will get the reward of it depending on his intention and amount if his suffering. Allah says in Quran : Verily, the patient person get their reward with out counting. (Sura 39, Verse 10).
