Is it permissible for me to seek forgiveness (Istighfar) on behalf of my husband if he doesn't do it himself?

At the end of the day it's a type of Dua and request by which you ask Allah swt to forgive him. So it is permissible
Is the Nikah still valid if a girl is married to a man but her parents have prevented her from living with her husband for over 8 years without any valid reason?

As long as the nikah was done, and talaq has not been recited, she is still considered married. 

However, why would her parents prevent her from living with her husband. That is very wrong and must be solved immediately. Either she lives with her husband, or she gets divorced. It is unfair for her to be in this situation.

And Allah knows best 
Would I be granted a husband in Jannah based on my own level of righteousness, rather than being the spouse of my current husband who is more pious and would likely be in a higher level of paradise?

When both husband and wife are in Paradise, Allah Grants both of them the best to make every one from them as the best for the other. Your husband will be granted with the best that will not even dream, and you will see him as the most wonderful man in the Paradise, same you will be granted the best that your husband will see you as the most wonderful woman in the Paradise.
