Wearing acrylic nails in your nails prevents water of Wudhu or Ghusl from reaching to your real nails, hence invalidates your Wudhu and Ghusl. If you wear it after performing Wudhu or Ghusl then pray Salah, your Salah will be valid because your Wudhu or Ghusl were valid as you performed Wudhu or Ghusl with out wearing anything stops water from reaching to your nails.

As a Muslim man, is it permissible for me to assist my adult adopted sister with washing while she is unclothed, if no female caregivers are available and the care is necessary?

Your adopted sister is not your real sister, so, you are not allowed to look at her unclothed. Hijab rules apply on you and her .

Emergency has got its own exceptions just like emergency rules to save life of any other female who is non Mahram to you.

I chose a Marja based on his reputation for knowledge, but as a Baligh Shia, I am now reconsidering my choice. Are my past prayers and fasting valid? Am I allowed to switch to Sayyid Sistani or Ayatollah Makarem Shirazi?

Your previous prayers and fasts and worship are valid as far as your intention was for the sake of Allah, and you did not violate any basic rule of worship.

Taqleed is acting upon the verdicts if the most learned scholar (Al-A’lam) who is considered by the high caliber scholars in the Hawza who are known as Ahlul Khibra أهل الخبرة.

Switching should be to the most learned Al-A’lam.

Women have looked to marriage to escape difficult family situations for ages, and it is natural to want to get married at your age.

If you choose that route, be sure that the person you marry is a good choice (as much as you can tell) so that you go into a better situation, not a worse situation.

Sometimes girls tend towards marrying someone like their father, because he is a familiar model of manhood, and if he has some difficult traits, be sure those are not found in your future husband.

Also, my personal advice is, do not tell your future husband that you married him to leave home, because that can make you seem vulnerable or might make him feel unwanted. Rather, just focus on building a life together and the positive aspects of being together.

If you can move away for university, study abroad, work, or other opportunities, that may also be an option. Financial independence can give you security and let you marry by choice rather than necessity.

In any case, it is good to have some idea what your expected future direction might be - for instance, does your family expect you to marry, do they expect you to work, do they expect you to stay home and keep doing the same thing, etc. It sound like there might not have been much guidance or discussion in this area.

Is it permissible to glance at something else during prayer, like checking the time, without moving my head? I wanted to confirm which Rakat I was on. Does this invalidate my prayer, or is it still considered valid?

The prayer will not be invalid but it is always better to keep our intention concentrated in our Prayers during performing Salah.

If there is no barrier between the man and woman, the woman (even if she is mahram) must stand behind the man, such that her place of sajdah be behind where the knees of the man would be when he does sujud.

A Seyyid/Seyyidah can marry a non-Seyyid/Seyyidah. These are only cultural norms, and as long as both sides are Muslim and wajib requirements for marriage are met, the marriage will be valid.

In this case, it is sinful. If they are all gossiping about you, try to understand why, and seek advice regarding the issues they are raising, to see if they genuinely have a point, and if you should try to look at their perspective. As for spying and violating someone else's privacy, this is haram.

Is it permissible to say all Takbirs, the Samiallah, the Bihawlillah, and the Taslim aloud during Zuhr and Asr prayers? Additionally, can we recite the Bismillah aloud before Surah Fatiha and other Surahs in these prayers?

Saying all the Takbir and other sayings in Zuhr and Asr aloud is permissible. Reciting the AlHamd and the other Sura should not be aloud in Zuhr and Asr. Reciting Bismillah Arrahman Arraheem aloud is recommended in Zuhr and Asr, while it is obligatory in Maghrib, Isha and Farr prayers.
