وقال السيد البحراني: ومن كتاب الفضائل لابي المظفر السمعاني أيضا باسناده قال: قدم أبوهريرة ودخل المسجد، فاجتمعنا حوله، وقام ‏رجل وقال: أنشدك - أي أسألك - إن حديثا سمعته من رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يقول: من كنت مولاه فعلي مولاه، اللهم وال ‏من والاه وعاد من عاداه؟ قال: نعم. قال: فإني رأيتك واليت أعدائه وعاديت أوليائه.‏
