قال ابن حجر: س - علي بن محمد بن علي بن أبي المضا المصيصي، قاضيها . . قال النسائي: ثقة وذكره ابن حبان في الثقات. قلت: ‏ذكره مسلمة ابن قاسم وقال: ثقة، وقال النسائي في مشيخته: نعم الشيخ كان.‏
