Ahmed Hoosen Deedat (1 July 1918 – 8 August 2005) was a South African writer and public speaker of Indian descent. He was best known as a Muslim missionary, who held numerous inter-religious public debates with evangelical Christians, as well as video lectures on Islam, Christianity, and the Bible.

Ayatollah Ahmad Jannati (Persian: احمد جنتی‎, born 23 February 1927) is an Iranian Shi'i cleric and a conservative politician. He was born in Ladan, Isfahan.

Ahmad Vaezi was born in Rey, Iran, in 1963. He entered Qom seminary in 1982 and studied preliminary courses in religious sciences in 1986. He then took courses in Islamic jurisprudence, including the classes of scholars such as Ayatollah Hossein Vahid Khorasani, Shiekh Jawad Tabrizi, Seyed Kazem Haeri, and Sadeq Larijani. Grand Ayatollah Jafar Sobhani (Persian: جعفر سبحانی‎) (born 1929 in Tabriz) is an Iranian Twelver shia marja, influential theologian and writer. Sobhani was a former member of the Society of Seminary Teachers of Qom and founder of Imam Sadiq Institute in Qom.
