Are we allowed to write a fantasy novel that includes depictions of magic? Sayyed Mohammad Al-Musawi Magic is forbidden in Islam as it is one of major sins. Allah Says in Quran: The magician will never be successful whatever he goes. (Sura Taha, verse 69). Any act related to promoting magic is also forbidden.
