as salam alaikum

Umm Farwa, wife of Imam al-Baqir and mother of Imam al-Sadiq, peace be upon them, was the daughter of Qasim son of Muhammad son of Abu Bakr. She was therefore the great-granddaughter of Abu Bakr.

With prayers for your success.

Imam Ja'far al-Sadiq (as) was a descendent of Abu Bakr through his mother. After Abu Bakr died, his wife Asma married Imam Ali, and thus Abu Bakr's son, Muhammad, was raised by 'Ali ibn Abi Talib. He became a staunch 'Alawi supporter, openly protesting against the corruption of the third caliph 'Uthman and taking part in the siege against 'Uthman's palace. He became a general in the army of Imam Ali, and fought for him at the Battle of the Camel (against Talha, Zubayr and his own sister Aisha) and at Siffeen against Mu'awiya (who had been made governor of Syria by 'Umar ibn Khattab). 'Ali ibn Abi Talib made him governor of Egypt during his short caliphate, but Ibn Abi Bakr was killed by the army of Amr ibn al-As who operated under Mu'awiya's governorship.

This Verse has no praise to the person who was with the Prophet in the cave. In fact it has negative points against him.

1. He was feeling sad despite being with the Prophet in the same place, which was wrong feeling and the Prophet told him: Do not grieve. He was wrong in grieving.

2. Allah sent His tranquility on the Prophet only and not on that person which means that he was not entitled to get the tranquility from Allah. Allah mentioned in Quran that: He sent tranquility on the believers. (Al-Fath, 4).

It worth mentioning that there is no authentic evidence that the person was Abu Bakr, on the contrary there are Hadeeths in Sunni books that Ab Bakr was in Madina during the journey of the Prophet from Makkah to Madina.

There is nice books written by Shaikh Najaah Al-Taa'ee in this subject.

Many Sunni scholars have stated that this verse does not have praise to the person who was with the Prophet in the cave.
