Aqeeqa is recommended for every Muslim child on the seventh day after birth, and it can e be done any time after that by slaughtering a sheep or goat or cow or camel and distributing its meat to people.

If the newborn is male, it is also mustahab for the sheep or goat sacrificed as aqiqah to be male,d if the newborn is female, then the animal be female.

Yes. Aqeeqa meat is allowed from any one for any one. Parents of the child are advised not to eat from the Aqeeqa of their child. It is not Haraam for them to eat, but just Makrouh.

Yes, of course he can. The only thing that is haram for a Seyid to take is 'sadaqah wajibah', like Zakat. 

Other than this, whether it is sadaqah mustahab, or aqiqah, or anything else is permissible and fine to take.
