The Akhlaq of Imam Husayn ('A)
When his father died. Imagine when your father has died and someone comes up to you, from Syria, he sees you he says "What is your name?" He says "Husayn." "Son of who?" He says Son of Ali Ibn Abu Talib. He said "May Allah curse you and curse your father Ali."
If someone talks like that to you, how would you reply back to him? May Allah curse you and your father. The guy's name was Asami Ibn Mustalaq. The imam said "Is the wind of this area hurting you? Or maybe you have had a disagreement with your wife? Is there a shelter for you to stay in? Or has no one provided you with clothing? Please come and stay in my house if you are a stranger in this area."
Wa Allah that person began to cry. He said "Aba Abdillah, I cursed your father in front of you. And this is the way you reply back to me by making your house available for me?"
He said "This is the family of Rasul Allah and the way we treat people. People may come and curse us, but we come back with morals. Because our grandfather Rasul Allah came to perfect the morals of mankind.
And that is why I will never forget.
Lorsque son père est mort. Imaginez que votre père soit mort et que quelqu'un vienne vers vous, de Syrie, qu'il vous voie et qu'il vous dise : "Quel est votre nom ?" Il dit "Husayn". "Fils de qui ?" Il répond : "Fils d'Ali Ibn Abu Talib". Il dit : "Qu'Allah te maudisse et maudisse ton père Ali."
Si quelqu'un vous parle ainsi, comment lui répondriez-vous ? Qu'Allah vous maudisse, vous et votre père. Ce type s'appelait Asami Ibn Mustalaq. L'imam dit : "Le vent de cette région vous fait-il mal ? Ou peut-être avez-vous eu un différend avec votre femme ? Y a-t-il un abri où vous pouvez rester ? Ou bien personne ne vous a fourni de vêtements ? Si vous êtes un étranger dans cette région, venez vous installer dans ma maison.
Wa Allah, cette personne se mit à pleurer. Il dit : "Aba Abdillah, j'ai maudit votre père devant vous, et c'est ainsi que vous me répondez en mettant votre maison à ma disposition ?
Il a dit : "Voici la famille de Rasul Allah et la façon dont nous traitons les gens. Les gens peuvent venir et nous maudire, mais nous revenons avec de la morale. Car notre grand-père, Rasul Allah, est venu pour parfaire la morale de l'humanité.
C'est pourquoi je n'oublierai jamais.
