Waiting for the Faraj
We have traditions which say, waiting for the Faraj, Intidhar ul-Faraj, is the most difficult of actions. I do not know how we can translate Faraj. I do not know. Do you have a better term? How we can - interpret- you know what I mean by Faraj? I do not know what English term is most appropriate here, but waiting for the Faraj of Imam az-Zaman is the best of actions. Why should it be?
Is it just a waiting? Allamah Qazi said, "to attain to this reality and to do the best of actions, Intidhar ul-Faraj, is when, whether the Imam is in occultation or present, it will not make a difference to you." You are doing the striving. That is the most difficult of actions. That requires a lot of sincerity, acting by one's duty.
So you can just judge. I mean, if Imam az-Zaman were to come inshaAllah today, look how happy we would be. For the true person, it will not make a difference! He is acting according to his duty. That is the ultimate that we have to attain to.
It is nothing you know... abracadabra thing. That Imam az-Zaman will come and everything would be sorted. No! There is no magic there. But we have to do our best.
