QUESTION:

It is typical here in west to sell used items to others.
If we doubt about an item which is offered by the seller with a very low
price that it might be stolen ( just a probability), can we buy it?
Please reply based on the rulings of Imam Khomaini, Ayatullah Sistani and
Ayatullah Khoee.



ANSWER:
All our mujtahideen have laid a general principle whereby doubts are not
reliable. Unless there are indications which make the probability stronger
than suspicion you are allowed to buy the said article.
