Positive Belief of Allah 1/2
Bismillah hir-Rahman nir-Rahim, Al-Hamdulillahi Rabbil alameen wa sallal-lahu alaa Muhammad wa aali al-tayyibeen al-Tahireen al Maasoomeen. We were discussing about a very important dictum of Imam Ar-Rida, alayhi al-salam, and that is to have good opinion about Allah, Husn adh-dhan billah. That means being optimistic with regard to Allah Subhana Wa Ta'ala in the dictum that we mentioned Imam says "Ahsin adh-dhan billah", have a good opinion about Allah. Think positively with regard to Allah Subhana Wa Ta'ala "Fa inna man hassana dhunna hu billah" for verily whosoever has a positive outlook and a positive opinion about Allah Subhana Wa Ta'ala "Kaana Allah inda dhundihi" - Allah will be with his positive outlook.
It's a beautiful thing that we are told by Imam Ar-Rida, alayhi salam, he says, actually think positively. Don't say that oh you know, there are some people who have the habit that whenever they give money to a poor person, they say, OK, these many Tooman of mine have become less now. But if a person is intelligent he'll say no, Allah Subhana Wa Ta'ala says "Manja'a bil hasana, fa la hua ashu anfaliha" - Allah will give him tenfold. And Allah is ar-Razzaq, Dhulquwat il-matin - He will give so much. So when a person thinks positively, he says I will give but Allah will give me a lot. I have full hope and you see Allah Subhana Wa Ta'ala will give. "Kaana Allah inda dhundihi". This is actually a principle for us.
One of the important things we must realize, and I think it's because of that, that people actually get confused, is that they just look at the majestic attributes of Allah Subhana Wa Ta'ala that is known as al asma al jalaliya lillah, like, for example, al-Qahar, Al-Muntaqim, al-Jabbar, that's how we look at Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala. So when we look at Him like that, we are afraid always about Him. But if we know that he is Ar-Rahman, He is al-Jawad, He is ar-Raouf, He is al-Jameel, He is Al-Kareem - He has so beautiful names. If you look at the beautiful dua Al-Jawshan al-kabeer, it gives you those positive attributes of Allah. If a person takes both these sides, then he will have Husna'dhun, that is very important. So one of the ways of actually gaining that positiveness is by knowing Allah Subhana Wa Ta'ala with both His attributes, attributes of majesty and attributes of beauty as well. When a person gets both these kinds of attributes is when he has good opinion about Allah.
And mind you, this is something that has been experienced by people that when they were positive with regard to Allah, Allah was with their thought that this person is thinking positive and he knows I will take care of these things - I will take care of him.
But when a person thinks negatively, and Shaytan does that usually, he always tries to inculcate negative thoughts. When a person gets these negative thoughts, then not only does he actually tortures himself, he also tortures other people because of his state.
So we should try to understand this beautiful saying of Imam Ar-Rida, alayhi Salam, which talks about husnu'dhun billah, which is very, very powerful. We stop over here.

Bismillah, al-Rahman, al-Rahim. Al-hamdulillah Rabbi 'l-alameen, wa sallal-lahu alaa Muhammad wa aali at-tayyibin at-tahirin al-m'asoomin.
Stavamo discutendo di un'affermazione molto importante dell'Imam Ar-Rida, alayhi assalam: "Avere una visione positiva di Allah", "Husn adh-dhan billah." Ciò significa essere ottimisti nei confronti di Allah Subhana Wa Ta'ala. Nel detto che abbiamo citato, l'Imam, alayhi assalam afferma: "Ahsin adh-dhan billah", cerca di avere una buona opinione di Allah, pensa positivamente riguardo ad Allah Subhana Wa Ta'ala, "Fa inna man hassana dhunna hu billah", perché se avrai una una visione positiva e un'opinione positiva riguardo ad Allah Subhana Wa Ta'ala, "Kaana Allah inda dhundihi", Allah corrisponderà alla tua visione positiva.
È bellissimo ciò che ci dice l'Imam Ar-Rida, alayhi assalam. Egli ci dice: pensa positivo! Non dite che.... Oh, sapete, ci sono persone che ogni volta che danno dei soldi a una persona povera hanno l'abitudine di dire: "Okay, ora ho meno soldi di prima." Ma se una persona è intelligente dirà: "No, Allah Subhana Wa Ta'ala dice: "Manja'a bil hasana, fa la hua ashu anfaliha", Allah me ne darà dieci volte tanto! E Allah è ar-Razzaq, Dhul-quwat il-matin: mi dà così tanto!" Così, quando una persona pensa positivo, dice: "Io darò, ma Allah mi darà molto di più. Ho piena fiducia." E vedrete che Allah Subhana Wa Ta'ala darà: "Kaana Allah inda dhundihi". In realtà questo è uno dei nostri principi.
Una delle cose importanti di cui dobbiamo renderci conto, e credo che sia proprio per questo motivo che la gente si confonde, è che ci si limita a guardare agli attributi di Allah Subhana Wa Ta'ala che esprimono la sua maestosità, ''al Asma' al jalaliya lillah', come ad esempio 'al-Qahar' [il Soggiogatore] 'Al-Muntaqim' [il Vendicatore], 'al-Jabbar' [l'Onnipotente]... È così che guardiamo ad Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala. E quando guardiamo a Lui in questo modo abbiamo sempre paura di Lui. Ma se sappiamo che è Ar-Rahman [il Misericordioso], è al-Jawad [il Magnanimo], è ar-Raouf [Colui che ha pietà], è al-Jamil [il Bello], è Al-Karim [il Generoso]... Ha dei nomi così belli!
Se leggete la bellissima du'a Al-Jawshan al-Kabir, vedrete che ci dà gli attributi positivi di Allah. Se prendiamo entrambi questi aspetti, allora avremo 'husn adh-dhun' [visione positiva di Allah]. Questo è molto importante. Quindi, uno dei modi per ottenere effettivamente questa visione positiva è conoscere Allah Subhana Wa Ta'ala con entrambi i tipi dei suoi attributi: gli attributi di maestà e gli attributi di bellezza. Quando una persona coglie entrambi questi tipi di attributi, allora ha una visione positiva di Allah.
E badate bene, questa è una cosa che è stata sperimentata a diverse persone: quando erano positive nei confronti di Allah, Allah corrispondeva al loro pensiero: "Questa persona pensa positivo e sa che mi prenderò cura di queste cose: mi prenderò cura di lui!" Ma quando una persona pensa negativamente - e di solito c'è di mezzo Shaytan, che cerca sempre di inculcare pensieri negativi - quando una persona ha questi pensieri negativi, allora non solo tortura se stessa, ma tortura anche altre persone a causa del suo stato.
Dovremmo dunque cercare di comprendere questo bellissimo detto dell'Imam Ar-Rida, alayhi assalam, che parla di 'husn udh-dhun billah,' e che è molto, molto potente. Ci fermiamo qui.
