I heard the Qur'an states it was sent to confirm that which was currently with the Jews and Christians. However, would these not already be the corrupted versions? Why would the Qur'an be confirming the corrupted versions of these books?

Corruption in Torah and Bible does not reach to every part in it. Many facts in these two texts remained and still existing. Quran confirms the main original facts in Torah and Bible.

Quran is the Book of guidance for all and not a text book of science. No doubt Quran has key facts of everything in the universe but knowing those key facts is not available to every one. We need to take the meanings of Quranic verses from the Prophet Muhammad (SAWA) and his Holy Progeny Ahlul Bayt (AS). There are many Hadith's talking about the genes and how every living creature has its own genes which is collected from the genetic structures of his parents and their forefathers back to many generations.

Yes, this meaning has been narrated in many narrations. It means that he talks to Allah during Salaah, and listen toAllah during reciting Quran.

Quranic verses are intact and no one can alter any verse. The enemies of Ahlul Bayt (AS) tried to twist the meanings of many verse to drive it away from its real Tafseer.
