Was the wife of Hazrat Abbas present in Karbala? And were their children with them as well?

According to Ibn Tawoos in al-Iqbal, the wife of Hazrat Abbas, Lady Lubabah Bint Obaidullah Ibn Abbas, was in Karbala and she witnessed the tragedies and was taken as captive with other ladies and children of Ahlul Bayt (AS) to Kufa then Shaam. She was crying day and night in the tragedies of Karbala and passed away in Madina shortly after returning back. Her children were then looked after by their grandmother Lady Ummul Banin.

Is it true that Imam Husain (AS) did not allow his brother Abbas, his son Ali Akbar, and his companions such as Hurr to jointly face the army of Yazid? If so, for what reason?

We believe that every act of the Infallible is based on the  complete wisdom which may not be available to us as our thinking is limited.

The wisdom behind the way of fighting the enemies in Karbala can be to avoid immediate collapse of the camp of Imam Husain (AS) looking at huge numbers of the enemies facing small number of believers.

It can be also to give more chances to the army of the enemies to reconsider their stand.

After all, the whole wisdom of that arrangements is with Imam Husain (AS) which aims definitely to serve the noble aims of Islam.

Why would Imam Musa Kazim have the same title of Babul Hawaij as Hazrat Abbas and Hazrat Ali Asghar, but not any of the other Imams?

Thank you for your question. The title bāb al-ḥawāʾij is conferred on these personalities by their admirers and their experience of finding their requests being answered in a speedy fashion. In reality all of the Infallibles (as) are worthy of this title.
