I have heard that some Shia scholars known as Mehdavi are considered descendants of Imam Mehdi, but isn't it true that the Imam has no children since he is in Ghaybat?

We can not confirm any children or family belonging directly to Imam Al-Mahdi (AS).

Mehdavi is a surname used by some person in Iran but they are related to Imam Al-Mahdi (AS).

Pious waiting believers (Muntadhireen) who passed away before the reappearance of Imam Al-Mahdi (AS) will be raised to be with the companions of the Imam on his reappearance. This is what we read in Du'a Al-'Ahd every morning اللهم إن حال بيني وبينه الموت الذي جعلته على عبادك حتما مقضيا فأخرجني من قبري شاهرا سيفي مقلدا قناتي ملبيا دعوة الداعي في الحاضر والبادي.O Allah; If death takes me from this life, take me out from my grave handling my sword and weapon to respond to his call.

Can a person who has repeatedly committed major sins attain the status of a close companion of Imam Mahdi (ajtfs) after genuinely and sincerely repenting?

Allah, The Exalted Said in Quran : Verily, Allah Forgives all sins. (Sura Al-Zumar, verse 53). This is for those believers who sincerely repent and turn their life totally to obeying Allah (SWT). Allah Knows what degree of sincerity and piousness in our hearts and He Grants His sincere servants whatever He Wants.

What are the rules for composing an Ariza for Imam al-Mahdi (as)? Can I write and submit it on any day, or are there particular days designated for this purpose?
