I am a 30-year-old man from the UK, recently practicing my faith more seriously. I am not yet circumcised. My father is critically ill, and I may need to prepare his body. Am I permitted to do so, or am I still ritually impure despite performing ghusl?

I sat on a chair that might have touched an impure liquid. The cushion was washed, but I am unsure if the chair remains ṭāhir or if it needs purification. Would wiping it with a damp cloth be adequate, given its porous nature?
