The earning of Halal income depends on the nature of the business or the service. You must be sure that your business or service is really Halal, then you don't need to worry.

If you find out that any part of your income is unlawful (Haraam), you must give it back either to the real owners of it, and if you can’t reach to the real owners, then to the Muslim authority ( Haakim al-Share who is the Marja; of Taqleed) to give it to the poor as Majhool al-Malik (unknown owner fund).

Your late knowledge about the Haraam does not release you from your responsibility to give it back totally including what you spent from it.

Selling counterfeit products is unlawful (Haraam) and the income from it is also unlawful. You must return the money to the victims if you know them but if you can never know them, then you need to give the money as Majhool al-Malik (Unknown owner) to the Marje' of Taqleed who will give it to the poor believers on behalf of the owners.

You should not think that the income of your family is Haraam before having definite and clear evidence.

If you don't have a definite evidence that it is from Haraam source, you will permissible to utilise it. If you have a definite clear evidence that all the income is from Haraam source, then you have to avoid Haraam as much as you can.
