We previously displayed photo frames at home but removed them after discovering the ruling against it. The pictures are not destroyed or discarded, just kept out of sight. Does this still prevent the Angels from entering the house?

No. Angles do not enter houses where idols are kept. Pictures are not idols. In Arabic the word صورة in Arabic of that time means an ideal but now it is used for picture which new meaning. In Quran the word سيّارة Sayyarah has been mentioned for caravan, but not in new Arabic of today, it is used for car nor caravan.

I have heard that angels are unable to recite the Quran and instead come to listen when we recite it? Is this authentic?

It is not authentic to claim that angles are unable to recite Quran.

Do the angels on our shoulders, who write our deeds, have knowledge of our intentions and the ability to perceive our thoughts?

Allah Informs our angles about our intentions because our good intentions are part of our good deeds but our bad intentions are not written against us until we commit the bad.

Is it allowed to pray to Allah (SWT) for becoming an Angel in the Hereafter to worship Him both in this world and the Hereafter, or would it be contrary to Allah's (SWT) desire and satisfaction?
