My husband did Mut'ah without my permission, and the girl is demanding her rights as a wife. Does she have the same rights as mine? If not, how are they different?

If the woman of the Mut'ah marriage with your husband is from People of Book (Christian or Jewish), then such marriage needs your permission.

If she is a Muslim woman, then her rights are not like your rights. Mut'ah marriage wife has no right of livelihood expenses, nor the right of spending nights with her like your right as a permanent wife. She also has no right in inheritance from your husband.

I feel that marriage is Wajib on me due to my indulgence in sins but, as a 17 year old school student, what can I do? Shouldn't there be some kind of Mutah marriage bureau for troubled teens?

You should seek advice from trusted scholars and persons in your area.

Young persons who are unable to marry are been advised to keep fasting as many days as they can. Fasting helps making them more able to control themselves.

Does a Muta end automatically at the end of the period or does one have to say or do something? How can a couple convert it into permanent marriage?

Yes, the temporary marriage contract is automatically terminated once the time period ends. 

One cannot have two contracts at one time, so if the couple agreed to have permanent contract, and the temporary contract is over, they can do the permanent contract. If they are still in the temporary contract, the male says to the female: "I release you for the remaining period", and once he says that, they can do the permanent marriage, as long as all other requirements are met.

I did Mutah with a girl without being sure of the applicability of the Iddah on her as she had been away from her husband for 4 months. I was also not aware that marrying someone during the Iddah makes us both Haram for each other. What should I do now?

The question you are asking is not very clear.

Are you saying 4 months of 'iddah of divorce, after her husband had officially divorced her?

If this was the case, her 'iddah is 3 menstrual cycles.

Or are you saying she was away from her husband, and Islamic divorce was not officially conducted, but due to her absence from him, you considered her to be divorced by default and the 4 months as an 'iddah. 

If this is the case, she is not divorced, and she had no 'iddah, and your mut'ah with her was invalid, and you are not allowed to ever be with her. 

What you should do is avoid any relationship with her until you can verify the information and the circumstances, and then act accordingly, in shaa Allah.
