Listening to music which is usually used by the sinners is not allowed. You should try your best to mute the music as far as you can.

We must refrain from any sinful act even if family and friends insist in it. You must refuse any sinful act. No one is more important to obey more than Allah (SWT). We disobey every one but never disobey Allah (SWT).

Qawwali is a type of singing although it contains religious words. Our Shia Ulama consider listening to Qawwali with its musical instruments as not permissible.

Music which is usually used by sinners is not permissible. The rule is same and it makes no difference whether the music is cultural or traditional ot not.
Dancing is forbidden always and under any circumstance.
