Ask A Question About Islam And Muslims

Abu Hanifa Al-Qaadhi Al-Nu'man is different from Abu Hanifa Al-Nu'maan of the Hanafi sect. Al-Qaadhi Al-Nu'man was the scholar of Fatemi government in Egypt that is why he is called by some scholars as Al-Masri. He dies in 363 Hijri while Abu Hanifa Al-Nu'man died in 150 Hijri.

Al-Qadhi Abu Hanifa Al-Nu'man is also known as Ibn Hayyoon ابن حيّون .

He had many books including his most famous book known as Da'aa'im Al-Islam دعائم الإسلام

He was not the founder of Fatemi imams but the scholar who spread the message through his books.

'He started as a Sunni Maliki but through research became an Imami scholar following the Twelve Imams.

'His book Da'aa'im Al-Islam has many authentic narrations from Ahlul Bayt (AS) but also has some matters which are not authentic.

Mazhar of Allah are Allah's most humble Infallible servants who don't do nor say nor think but only what Allah wants. The Infallible personalities in Islam are fourteen; the Prophet Muhammad (SAWA), Imam Ali (AS), Lady Fatima (SA) , Imam Hasan (AS), Imam Husain (AS), Imam Sajjad (AS), Imam Muhammad Al-Baqir (AS), Imam Ja'far Al-Sadiq (AS), Imam Musa Al-Kadhim (AS), Imam Ali Al-Ridha (AS), Imam Muhammad Al-Jawad (AS), Imam Ali Al-Hadi (AS), Imam Hasan Al-Askari (AS) and Imam Al-Mahdi (AS).

All of them are the most humble servants of Allah. There is no characterization at all when we believe that Allah's most humble servants reflect in their acts and words whatever Allah wants.. There are His most humble servants and never part of Him nor similar to Him. We read in Quran about Allah: There is Nothing like Him.( Sura 42, Verse 11).

We believe that all Muslim sects including Ismailis are Muslims but we believe in and follow in faith and Shariah whatever the Prophet and his Holy Progeny said.

We have in our main books of Hadeeth two narrations from Esma'eel son of Imam Ja'far Al-Sadiq (AS); one in Al-Kaafi by Al-Kulaini , volume 7, page 388, and the second narration is in Al-Tahtheeb by Al-Shaikh Al-Tousi, volume 6, page 287. The reason can be because he passed away during the life of his father when people used to take the Hadeeths from Imam Ja'far Al-Sadiq (AS) himself.

I did not find any narration in our main books from Muhammad ibn Esma'eel who was in touch with the Abbasid tyrant Haroon Al-Rasheed who put imam Musa A;-Kadhim (AS) in jail for long years then killed him by poison.

Bismillah,

Asalamu Alaykom,

The current imam of the time is Imam Al-Mahdi who is the 12th imam and the son of the 11th imam, Imam Hassan Al-Askari.

We have many authentic and reliable ahadith relating to the matter of the 12th imam. Allah swt also prolonged his age just like He did with previous prophets.

Inshallah soon I will release a translation of a book being worked on relating to authentic ahadith on this matter.

About some Ismailis, although their imam of the time would be the current Agha Khan, for the 12er Shias, he is a false imam who shouldn’t be followed. The Bohra Ismailis also follow a different imam and have their daei’ mutlaq.

One may also notice that the Ismaili Agha Khanis have abandoned all shariah practices because of their current imam. For example many Ismailis do not fast, pray like Muslims do, perform hajj, wear hijab, focus on tahara or many other important jurisprudential issues.

We ask Allah to guide them and us all
