From the minute you reach your destination where you intend to stay for ten days, you should count 240 hours or more, then your prayer should be full. If you stay at that place less than 240 hours, then you prayer should Qasr.

Having lived for a few months in the GTA (Greater Toronto Area), I can confirm that Mississuaga and Vaughan are commonly considered to be part of the same city unit for the purposes of praying and fasting. That is, you do not say qasr prayers or break fast if you go from one to the other.

If you mean by shortening your Prayer performing it as Qasr, then it is obligatory to pray Qasr during traveling unless you reach to a place where you intend to stay less than ten days.

'If you mean by shortening your prayer, performing it with less recommended acts, then it should be clear that if your recommended worship clashes with your obligatory duties as a wife, then you should not ignore the obligatory for the sake of the recommended.

Your Prayer (Salah) in your home city is always full. Your home city remains your home city as far as you still intend to live their in the future. If you have no intention to leave be there any more then it does not remain as your home city.
