There are difference of opinion among our esteemed jurists, so this is something you will need to specifically find out what the fatwa is of your Marja' Taqleed.

I would add that for us Muslims, compatibility is extremely important, not just in life ambitions, or personal preferences or feelings, but in lifestyle and ideology. For example, if you are a Muslim, you would like to have an Islamic environment in your household, and create a spiritual atmosphere, with correct divine direction, under Allah ta'ala. If  you are a follower of Ahlul Bayt (a.s.), you want your family members, and your children to live and breath the Imams as, and follow their lifestyle and represent them. 

This can only happen if there is synchronisation in belief and ideology as well.

It is narrated that Imam al-Sadiq (A) said, "Any Hadith that is in accordance with the Book of Allah then take it, and what is contrary to the Book of Allah then reject it." 
I understand to be a martyr one must die with the love of both the Prophet (S) and the Ahlul Bayt (AS). So with the situation in Palestine, would one who dies there be considered a martyr if they did not die with the love of Ahlul Bayt (AS)?

Allah (SWT) Knows what is in the heart of every one and we are not entitled to judge the intentions of people. Allah Knows why there were killed and what was in their hearts when they were defending their homes and families. We read in the Hadeeths that a person who dies while defending his family or land will get the reward of Shaheed.

'Our responsibility as followers of Ahlul Bayt (AS) is to support the oppressed against the oppressors as Ameerul Mo'mineen Ali (AS) ordered us: Be against the oppressor and with the oppressed.

Why should we support the Palestinians when the majority of them love the enemies of the Ahlulbayt (a) such as Muawiya. Why should we support such people?

We must support the oppressed wherever they are. Palestinians have been severely oppressed for over 70 years by Zionist terrorist gangs and regime and their children and women are massacred by the enemies of Islam and humanity. We must support them in every possible way as human beings if we respect our human values beside our faith. Our enemy is trying to mislead some people by creating doubts about supporting Palestinians under different excuses. Our greatest Islamic scholars who are the Maraaje' of Taqleed have clearly supported Palestinians and we must follow them and never listen to the misleading propaganda against Palestinians especially when their enemy is our enemy who occupied and still occupying Masjid Al-Aqsa and the whole Palestinian land which is a Muslim land and killed thousands of children, women and civilians and still killing more.
